NAPC FORUM is the only national conference focused on the issues facing local historic preservation commissions and historic districts. This biennial conference offers dozens of educational sessions and discussion panels, mobile workshops and tours, and five days of non-stop networking for staff and volunteers representing local, state and national organizations and government agencies. FORUM 2018: A Preservation Caucus, welcomed over 700 attendees from 45 states and multiple countries to Des Moines, Iowa. FORUM 2020 in Tacoma, Washington will build on this landmark success. Details on lodging and room blocks will be released in the spring. The room block for the regular rate ranges from $179/$199 depending on the night. The per diem rate (we have a large number of per diem rooms this year) ranges from $121/$141.

Commission Excellence Awards: Call for Nominations
The National Alliance of Preservation Commissions is now accepting applications for the 2020 NAPC Commission Excellence Awards program to recognize and honor outstanding efforts and achievements by local preservation, historic district, and landmark commissions and boards of architectural review, as well as individual preservationists doing exemplary work at the federal, state and municipal levels.
